Up early. Started my day in the weight room.
Finished with a 3.5 mile run. Perfect fall weather, great scenery
and some 'far out' tunes. Today was my day '4-sho'. Make tomorrow
your day. Run and enjoy.
Be there or be square! Until next time, stay safe.
It only gets better with time. Day number four and I'm
booking. I tweaked my form, added some new tunes
to the old music player and changed my route. Do whatever
it takes to get moving again. Perhaps some new shoes, new
clothes or a running partner will help get you motivated.
Can you dig it!
Day number three and I'm moving and grooving. It's not
hard getting back on track when you're in shape. I know
that it's hard getting started again. Your mind can't convince your body to move. In fact, they fight each other. Not to worry.
Habit will overrule them both.
When you've been out, the best way to get back in is to take it nice and easy. Just finish your run. No need to worry yourself with times.
Enjoy being in your running shoes and on the road. Day two and counting.
When life happens, it's okay to take a break and regroup.
In some cases, it's a must. Just keep in mind that you have
to get back on course. Today was my first outing in weeks.
It was tough but I went to work.
Make running a habit. By doing so, it will become second nature and much more enjoyable. And the peaks, you will look great, feel great and you can eat a little of everything. See what I mean! Two weeks on vacation and didn't gain a pound. Even had my mom's famous spaghetti. Start today. It's never to late.
Run strong, live long. Until next time, stay safe.
Had one last run this morning. Time to leave. Had a wonderful time visting with my beautiful mom, Emma Thompson. The best mom it the world. Much fun with my son Matthew. Just wondering what city I'll be running in next year. Wherever it may be, I know I'll enjoy it. I think I'll schedule my vacation to run Peachtree in Atlanta. Just a thought. Remember to always take your running shoes on vacation with you.
This morning's run was fast. Went all out. No time to enjoy the scenery. All business. Felt great afterward. Overwhelming sense of satisfaction. Back on point. Let the racing season begin. Always be ready for the big rodeo.
All about getting down! Until next time, stay safe.
This morning's run took me once again alone the riverfront, Can't get enough of that river, right? But guess what? On the run back, I ran the city streets and discovered a few wonderful new shops and restaurants. Change it up once and a while. Go ahead, be adventurous. You'll be glad you did.
An early morning run on the riverfront, how exhilarating. The breeze, the boats on the river, the sounds of birds chirping, and the friendly greetings from fellow runners. Not a care in the world. I'm on vacation and enjoying every run. Always remember to make time for the things you love.
Rolling, rolling on the riverfront! Until next time, stay safe.
It's ninety degrees before noon. That's how summers are in Florida. No need to carry a water bottle. It'll be as hot as a cup of coffee before your first mile. If you must run in those conditions, start hydrating before you leave, dress light, keep your run short or take routes that takes you past a water fountain. Remember to use your sunscreen.
If you feel as I do on some days, you really don't have the energy to throw up a bunch of weights. On those days use exercise bands. That's right, I said bands. They are the perfect substitute for your rusty old dumbbells. You can get them in different strengths. And that's how you Keep It Moving.
They are as good as gold! Until next time, stay safe.
