All physical activity is good for your health, but aerobic exercise is the best way to condition your heart. Aerobic exercise is most effective when done at a sustained moderate-to-vigorous pace. Shoot for 45 minutes per run, 3 to 4 days a week. Remember to keep it fun. You can alternate. Choose days to run for heart health. The other days can be for refreshing, therapeutic runs.
