Burning Hot.

This is what a body looks like when it's burning hot. Sure it was 92 degrees outside. What was I to do, stay in and complain about the heat? I think not. I had a 8 mile run planned.
I took care of business as usual and got it done. I don't advise running in those kinds of temperatures. However, if you must, look for sprinklers on your route. They can be a life saver. Afterward, reward yourself with an ice cold bath. Take care of your health, Run!

The heat is on!    Until next time, stay safe.

Think

Your body is given out on loan- don't waste it and expect
to use it tomorrow.                                    -Shapiro.

Arms Race

I like to think that when I'm running and pumping my arms,
I'm somehow generating force that propels me faster and delays
fatigue. I guess it pays to have strong arm, or is it just me.

Arm yourself!         Until next time, stay safe.

No matter how slow you go,
you're still lapping everybody
on the couch.

Drinking Problem?

An underwatered workout is insufficient. You won't last long, you accomplish little, and it's hard to recover. Reason is, the human body requires water to lubricate the joints, digest food, transport nutrients, and flush waste. In addition, it helps carry oxygen and fuel to working muscles. Not to mention , in the form of sweat, it keep your body temperature in check when you're pushing through the last miles of your marathon. If you're not well hydrated, you have a drinking problem and need rehab. With that said, you need to drink, drink, and drink some more. If you wait until you're thirsty, it's to late. Try sipping liquids throughout the day.

And that's how to keep it moving!                Until next time, stay safe.

Bend a little, Give a little

Want to start your day off right, try this. As soon
as you get out of bed, stretch. Nothing too involved.
Just 10 minutes of routine stretches will do. Do it
everyday, workout or not.

And that's how you keep it moving!  Until next time, stay safe.
