"Running long and hard is an ideal antidepressant, since it's hard to run and feel sorry for yourself at the same time. Also, there are those hours of clearheadedness that follow a long run."

-Monte Davis

Road Rules

I see you running in the morning.  Looking good. Remember to run facing the traffic when there aren't any sidewalks. Moreover, you can always run facing the traffic in your sub-division, sidewalks or not.

Do your thing. Rule the road!   Until next time, stay safe.

A Little Bit More, A little Bit Better.

Whether you're running or working out with weights, your goal should be to get better at it. In order for that to happen, you need to do more. Try running a little further. Lift a little more. Push yourself. Remember, you can always get better. Try improving your technique.

More is better or better means more!

Until next time, stay safe.

Imagine That

I always thought that the guys who wear calf sleeves are a little bit over the top.
But after a little research, I decided to give them a try.To my surprise, my legs felt fresh during and after my run. Furthermore, they are great to have for your trail runs.

Imagine that!  Until next time, stay safe.

Head For The Hills

How do you run hills in Florida? You don't. You run elevations.
A good place to start is at any golf course. You're sure to find plenty.
A course on my daily run.
Sprint up and walk down. No big deal.

Hills! maybe not. But nevertheless, elevations are a good substitute.  Until next time, stay safe.

Had a bad week, a bad month,
well all is not lost. Just pick
yourself up and get back out
there. Start slow and work your
way back. Don't do to much to soon.

We fall down but we get up!  Until next time, stay safe.

Running Inn

You guess it. I'd rather be outside.
Some days running outside is just not possible. On those days a treadmill is your best bet. Some days you just don't feel like running outside. Again, the treadmill will suffice. However, if you feel as I do, I know you'd rather run in circles in your garage or just find a spot in your closet and run in place. Nevertheless, if the treadmill is calling, why not make it fun. Here are a few things you can try. First of all, you can try the preprogramed runs. Some of them are quiet challenging. My personal favorite is interval training. That consist of alternating between sprinting and walking. Mix it up. Make it fun. Play with it. Press some buttons. More importantly, remember your music. It will fight off boredom.

Running Inn, I guess!  Until next time, stay safe.

Laughter and running is the best medicine.
Find things to laugh about everyday. Better still, laugh while you run.. Until next time, stay safe.
