How Sweet It Is

Just finished my first race of the season and it was fantastic! Record breaking crowd, lots of sponsors and the course was very fast. The finish line was packed with cheering family and friends. Refreshments were plentiful. There was even live entertainment. This is racing at its best. Furthermore, my clock time was outstanding. Preparation met opportunity as I always say.

The event was "out of sight!"  Until next time, stay safe.

Walk It In

Don't drive around looking for the closest parking space at the shopping center. Park a distance away and walk it in. Not only will you benefit from the walk, you'll also benefit from the  smiles you receive along the way. A heart warming hello is all that's needed.

Walk it in and walk it out!         Until next time, stay safe.

"Running long and hard is an ideal antidepressant, since it's hard to run and feel sorry for yourself at the same time. Also, there are those hours of clearheadedness that follow a long run."

-Monte Davis

Right On Brother!     Until next time, stay safe.

Road Rules

I see you running in the morning.  Looking good. Remember to run facing the traffic when there aren't any sidewalks. Moreover, you can always run facing the traffic in your sub-division, sidewalks or not.

Do your thing. Rule the road!   Until next time, stay safe.

A Little Bit More, A little Bit Better.

Whether you're running or working out with weights, your goal should be to get better at it. In order for that to happen, you need to do more. Try running a little further. Lift a little more. Push yourself. Remember, you can always get better. Try improving your technique.

More is better or better means more!

Until next time, stay safe.

Imagine That

I always thought that the guys who wear calf sleeves are a little bit over the top.
But after a little research, I decided to give them a try.To my surprise, my legs felt fresh during and after my run. Furthermore, they are great to have for your trail runs.

Imagine that!  Until next time, stay safe.

Head For The Hills

How do you run hills in Florida? You don't. You run elevations.
A good place to start is at any golf course. You're sure to find plenty.
A course on my daily run.
Sprint up and walk down. No big deal.

Hills! maybe not. But nevertheless, elevations are a good substitute.  Until next time, stay safe.

Had a bad week, a bad month,
well all is not lost. Just pick
yourself up and get back out
there. Start slow and work your
way back. Don't do to much to soon.

We fall down but we get up!  Until next time, stay safe.
