The Winter Garden 10k had it all. We were blessed with perfect weather, good scenery and a nice crowd. This race is to be enjoyed. I settle in at an easy pace and relished. No need to go all out unless you're there to improve your personal best. I ran nice and easy and even had time to make small
take with the wonderful volunteers. How nice is that. Enjoy life, run. Runningafterfifty is what it's all about! Until next time, stay safe.
Last weekend was the 'Season 52' 5k run in Winter Park. Next weekend it's the Winter's Garden 10k . Am I ready ? We all know the answer to that. It's a longer race and I'm just fine with that. A runner is always prepared. Running is what we do. See you there.
Staying ready is what drives us! Until next time, stay safe.
After thirty- seven years and over a 100,000 miles, I'm reasonable
sure that today was my last 5k. 'An end of an era'. I'm leaving the
fast running to the younger crowd. Don't get me wrong. You can
run them year-round. However, if you are a competitor, you have
to realize your limitations. Running a 5k is taxing, not to mention
the hugh crowds and the narrow streets . It's time for me to concentrate
on longer distances. If you happen to see me at a 5k event in the future,
you can be reasonably sure that I'm just out for a jog or walking.
An end signals a new beginning ! Until next time, stay safe.
Believe that you can run farther or faster.
Believe that you're young enough, old
enough, strong enough ,and so on to
accomplish everything you want to do.
Don't let worn- out beliefs stop you
from moving beyond yourself.
Belief that the best is always yet to come! Until next time, stay safe.
There are days when you're bound to be off your game and
you feel as if a run would put you in ICU or the family's plot.
Not to fret. Just lace up and start walking. When the zombie
feeling disappears, start running. Ease into it.
No need to carry a heavy load! Until next time, stay safe.
